Your Life Changes

Just when you thought you had
it all figured out
Your life changes suddenly almost with a shout
Someone you dearly love gets very sick or dies
You react by withdrawing from others but it's not wise
Waves of aftershocks follow
the initial awful shock
There's so much pain inside you-can't-eat you-can't-talk
Some people stop by or send flowers or call on the phone
But you don't want to see anyone you want-to-be-left-alone
Remember my friend you are in
a vulnerable state
Never forget that the enemy of your soul will not wait
Attacks of depression and thoughts of suicide will come
You really need your church family to help things run
In the end when your brother or sister is hurting
Remember we need to
bear one another's burdens
