With the end in mind

Looking ahead in the Word of God I read the
chapters and verses at the end,
It is comforting to know this simple truth and hold on to it: "We win!"
With the end in mind, I will do what I can every day for God's kingdom,
Because The Lord sees the end from the beginning and what I can become!
With the end in mind, I patiently wait
With the end in mind, I go forth by faith
With the end in mind, I know God is in control
With the end in mind, I will continue to grow
Projecting into the future I have to carefully weigh every decision I make:
I decide to faithfully follow Jesus in everything because of what's at stake--
Like a champion Christian chess player I make moves with the end in mind,
Pressing ahead toward the high calling of God in Christ,
leaving the world behind!
With the end in mind, we patiently wait
With the end in mind, we go forth by faith
With the end in mind, we know God is in control
With the end in mind, we will continue to grow
At the end when we finally stand in the new Jerusalem, rejoicing and singing:
All the pain and tears will be gone--
We will forever praise and worship Jesus the King!

Philippians 3:13-15 (New Living Translation)
13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this
one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I
press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which
God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
15 Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things. If you disagree on
some point, I believe God will make it plain to you.
