Why Jesus do You love me?

Yes I've been avoiding You Jesus
My life has all gone to pieces
It's ugly and nasty and all full of sin
It's been that way since I-don't-know-when

Why Jesus do You love me?

Why Jesus don't You let me go?
Why Jesus do You love me?
I know the Bible tells me so

I'm sorry Lord for letting you down
This load I've been carrying has me bound
Jesus I repent and return to You today
It's with fear and trembling I want to be saved

Why Jesus do You love me?

Why Jesus don't You let me go?
Why Jesus do You love me?
I know the Bible tells me so

Avoiding You Lord only makes things worse
You are the only One Who can lift the curse
