Why?

Why am I not allowed to feel anything?  I'm banned
Why am I not allowed to be what I am?  a man
Why must I continue to seem to slide away?
Why must my love seem like she hates me today?

I seek You Lord for a change for the better within me
I long for You Lord for a perfect renewing
I adore You Father for always being there
I thank You Jesus for caring when I couldn't care

Why am I not allowed to feel anything?  I'm banned

To be honest Dear God I don't know what to do
I don't know what to say to see it through
All I know is that I need You now more than ever
And that's the point: I'll need You now and forever

       In Your presence Lord I feel Your hand.....I'm not banned
         Thank You for continuing to make me into a godly man
           Thank You for being there when I wanted to run away
             Thanks for Your love that overcomes any hatred today

   I reach to You Lord and I know things will work out
   By faith I see Your hand on our lives: of that I have no doubt
