When No One's Lookin'
He's just a little boy, his parents don't have
time--
He lives with his Granny most of the time--
She struggles to get him up and off to school--
He wants his way all the time, actin' a fool...
Yet, when no one's lookin', he
cries for his daddy--
When no one's lookin' he cries for his mommy--
But his Granny's right there, she's the one who cares--
She washes his clothes and wipes away his tears...
One day the little boy told his Granny he's
thankful--
He thanked God for her and all she will ever do--
This time the little boy comforted his Granny--
As she hugged the little boy with tears in her eyes...
When no one's lookin', he cries
for his daddy--
When no one's lookin' he cries for his mommy--
But his Granny's right there, she's the one who cares--
She washes his clothes and wipes away his tears...
Sometimes when the little boy's daddy shines
around--
The little boy is so happy, jumping up and down,
jumping
up and down--
But then his daddy leaves him there with Granny again--
His daddy would rather go drinkin' than be with him...
When no one's lookin', he cries
for his daddy--
When no one's lookin' he cries for his mommy--
But his Granny's right there, she's the one who cares--
She washes his clothes and wipes away his tears...
She wipes away his tears....
