When Impatience Follows You

Impatience follows you
Sometimes it stalks you
It's that impulsive get-it-now attitude
Along with I-don't-care-if-I'm-rude
They'll scream Just Move! Get-out-of-my-way!
I-don't-have-time-for-this-today!

Impatient pressure pushes patience to the edge
The patient person won't give in but go where they're led

When impatience curses and swears in vain
Just bless them right there, in Jesus' Name
Bless those who curse you the Bible says
Your patient attitude will keep you....
          ...keep you from going over the edge

Be steadfast, enduring with patience to the end
God knows and that's what matters:  Jesus is our best Friend
