Vanity Landscaping & Snow Removal

Several years ago I decided to go into business for myself:
I wanted to do something special that would be a great help
Then one day while cutting my grass out in the yard
The light went off in my head to make this my job

I got together with some friends I knew around town,
And a few of them decided they could help me out!
I wanted to get the right name to cover everything,
And finally we decided 'vanity' had the right zing!

"Why 'Vanity'?" my friends couldn't resist and finally asked--
"What does that have to do with moving snow, or cutting grass?"
I explained the scripture in the Bible about how all is vanity
You move the snow today and more comes tomorrow--that's reality!

In the end they understood what King Solomon meant and how it all fit:
It is a wonderful witness while we work--all time well worth spent!


"Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that
I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and
there was no profit under the sun"
                     Ecclesiastes 2:11
