The Silent Witness

Never knowing what to say or how to say it
The silent witness just tries to live it
Jesus has so radically changed this life
But the shy find it so hard to shine 

The silent witness finds other ways to reach out
The written word conveys his stories now
Powerful prose packs each paragraph, each page
The written testimony can be used again and again

As the months and years go on and on
The silent witness sings this silent song
Others are moved and touched by God's Spirit
The written words of the silent witness were worth it

But at the end there is a place where
          the silent witness cannot hide
As dozens of souls who were touched
          meet the silent witness on the other side
