It
could be a terror attack on U.S., or some natural disaster,
But it seems the drama of trauma is coming faster, and faster:
Horrible accidents, fire, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes and pain--
We're almost numb now to the news, when it happens again, and again...
A little girl stands
in shock, pointing, wide-eyed in the street,
Because of the horror she just witnessed she is unable to speak--
Finally by-the-grace-of-God someone sees her and picks her up,
And Praise God! soon she is safe in her sobbing mother's arms...
Destruction
everywhere--nothing is normal any more--where-do-we-go?
Fire sirens and police sweep in to try to take and maintain
control...
Shell-shocked like sheep we're led away to a safe place far away--
Later, as we watch the news we realize things will never be the same...
In the end, the drama of major
trauma makes for breaking news all the time--
But after the reporters leave, and the cameras are turned off, the
suffering still cry...
and cry...
