The God Factor
An idea to fill a need comes to mind and the
planning begins:
I'm going all-out to be the best because a quitter never wins!
I'm working from early in the day to way late at night--
I'm in this for the long haul--it's going to be a fight--
Committed time and money--I'm stretching to reach the goal:
I'm so deep into the plan I'm giving it my eternal soul--
Sold-out, gave-out--I'm almost burnt-out for the cause--
I'm consumed and driven and I have no time to pause...
Then suddenly one day a revelation hits me like a bright light--
I've been running on my power trying to fight my good fight--

See--I'm forgetting the "God Factor" in all my plans--
I need to pray and seek His will in every circumstance:
Every minute of every day should be given to the Lord--
There's no way I can survive without Him in this world!
In the end, self-reliance on my own talents and abilities is tempting--
I may succeed for awhile--but the law of sowing and reaping comes to all:
there will be Day of Reckoning
