Sometimes Lonely but Never Alone

Sometimes lonely, but never alone
All by myself again here at home
Clocks are ticking and the refrigerator hums
Empty plate on the table with some crumbs

As I muse about how God has blessed me with a new song
I'm amused in a way how He's put up with me for so long
I thank You Jesus for letting me compose for You and play
I thank You Lord for this precious time together today

Sometimes lonely, but never alone
All by myself staring at the phone
Birds are chirping and the wind moves the trees
God's creation praises Him with every breeze

Stop and listen to those hurting people around you
Just listening sometimes is the song they need to make it through
