Slow Down

Everything is moving so slow today
The traffic, my computer and my watch
I wonder what The Lord is trying to say
Maybe I need to slow down to keep up

I want to move fast because I'm in a hurry
I have things to do and the clock is moving
I'm overcome with fear and unwarranted worry
Why am I so stressed? What am I proving?

I need to slow down to keep up with The Lord
His ways and timing are not always what I want
But my Father knows what I need in this world
So I humbly give my will do Him and slow down

Jesus spared my life again when I slowed down and waited
There was a blessing when I listened to Him, and then obeyed
