Sleep, Mary, sleep

"Joseph, I'm tired. . . . we've come such a long way..."

"It's OK, Mary..."

"Can you hold Him?  just for awhile--I need to get some rest--"

"Yes..."

"He just ate, so He'll be OK--are you sure you don't mind?"

"Not at all....go ahead and rest"

       Sleep, Mary, sleep,
       The journey was long--
but  the soldiers are far away now, and gone--
You need your rest now, so sleep,
       Sleep, sleep in heavenly peace...

Jesus, as I hold You near tonight,
I can't help but to feel God's love inside...
You're so peaceful now as You sleep,
Just like your mother resting near to me...

       Sleep, Mary, sleep,
       The journey was long--
but  the soldiers are far away now, and gone--
You need your rest now, so sleep,
       Sleep, sleep in heavenly peace...

Dear Lord, there's much I don't understand,
Like... why did we have to flee Nazareth?
But, we trust You Lord with our lives,
I feel  your peace now deep inside...

       Sleep, Mary, sleep,
       The journey was long--
but  the soldiers are far away now, and gone--
You need your rest now, so sleep,
       Sleep, sleep in heavenly peace...

       Peace, peace wonderful peace
Coming down from The Father above
Sweep over my spirit, forever I pray
       In fathomless billows of love

"I love you you both so much--thank You God!
"Thank You for Your wonderful peace, and Your awesome love

"Good night..."
