Seven Days in May

For weeks the congregation prepared for a great harvest
Fasting and praying and inviting and bringing guests
Reaching out and witnessing and teaching God's Word
Reading what's read and hearing what's heard

For weeks the evangelist prepared for a great harvest
Fasting and praying and inviting and bringing the Holy Guest
Waiting on the Lord's anointing and searching His Word
Reading what's read and hearing what's heard

Then the evangelist preached Jesus for seven days in May
That week many came forward to pray and to be saved
Repenting and being baptized and receiving God's Spirit
Seeing what's seen and hearing what's heard

Many more stayed and prayed at the end of those seven days
It was worth it all because they are no longer satan's slaves

Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
