Powerless
Point

A Sales Manager
works on his presentation way late into the night:
No matter how hard he tries the slides are never quite right!
In great frustration he slams his laptop shut with a curse;
He mutters to himself, "I don't know how this could get any worse!"
Walking out of the office he pops his cell phone open with a click--
He thinks it's his dead wife calling but it must have been a trick?
"Hello? Hello? Who is this?" The silence is hauntingly strange,
Because deep within his heart he begins to feel something change
He turns around and goes back inside to face his laptop again,
And as he opens his powerpoint presentation something happens:
He hears the gentle Holy Spirit call to his heart "Come, come--
"Come unto Me all who are weary and overburdened, come--"
Flashbacks of his Grandfather's heartfelt prayers echo in his heart and soul:
He was at a powerless point in his life when he needed those prayers now--
the most.

"All things have
been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father,
and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son
chooses to reveal him.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in
heart,
and you will find rest for your souls."
Matthew 11:27-29 (NIV)
"But I,
when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself."
John 12:32 (NIV)
