Pastor Ron and Michael

Michael was a migrant worker lookin' for a better life
He needed the money for his children and his wife
One day he met a good pastor who took Michael in
He just wanted to help and be a part of the solution

As time went by Michael was blessed with better pay
They both agreed that Michael start to pay his own way
So Pastor Ron started charging him $20 a month rent
Michael paid it for a few months then stopped payin'

Pastor Ron gave Michael grace for a few more months
He tried to ask Michael several times what was wrong
Michael would just shake his head and change the subject
All he would say is, "Pastor, I don't want to talk about it"

Finally, Pastor Ron felt he had to force the issue
He called the Sheriff who came out to talk to Michael
Michael screamed and yelled loudly at the two men
Then the Sheriff asked Pastor Ron about the agreement

"Only $20 a month?" he said as he reached for his wallet
"I'll tell you what we can do for our friend Michael:
"I pledge to pay half his rent--
"But he has to sign a new agreement--"

Pastor Ron calmed Michael down and told him what happened
Michael agreed and paid what he owed, and thanked his new friend
Later Michael explained why he couldn't pay:
His daughter was in a coma--then in tears, 
                          he asked Pastor Ron to pray

At that very moment, Michael's little angel woke up enthralled
Everyone rejoiced in Jesus when they received the call!

Don't be so quick to assume and then decide what you're going to do
Be patient and pray, seek God's face: because you never know
                          what people are going through.
