One Lone Leaf

Colorful leaves and needles dropping like snow
Piling high on the streets and sidewalks below
The first freeze simply stalls in the calm morning air
It's a perfect prelude to the winter weather we'll soon have

Too soon

So soon the summer has passed
Wow!  why can't the summer last?
Just where does the time go?
Yesterday was sun:  tomorrow it's snow!

Seasons

The seasons for a reason change
God knows when to turn the page
As I'm meditating on all He does around me
Something so simple happens yet so profound--see?

One Lone Leaf

One lone leaf lands on my windshield
It stays there just long enough for me to see
O the unique beauty of just one of so many!
Then it flew off and joined them anyway

We're all created colorful and different for a reason
But there is a time when we must all join together
                                                        in Christ for a season
