Octoberfest Revival

Drinkin' beer after beer like there's no tomorrow
Tryin' to drown out the pain and the sorrow
Makin' things worse their lives are a mess
It's that time of the year again:  it's October fest

Drunken stumbling zig-zagging down the street
Laughin' at every sober person that they meet
Slurrin' words then tempted to do what's wrong
Foolishness reigns all their inhibition is gone

In the early mornin' just before the dawn
The pair ends up passed out on the lawn
Most people just gawk and stare and then look away
But God was watching over them that day

A strong neighbor man walked by with his dog
And to-be-honest, he saw them and thought, "Oh-my-God!"
He tied the dog to a tree and then found their key
He carefully carried them into safety

Before he left them asleep on the couch and the chair
He laid hands on them and said a simple prayer
"Lord Jesus I pray for these precious lost souls:
I lift You up in their lives:  show them the way they should go."

As he locked the door to let them sleep it off
One of them snored and one of them coughed
Then the bright white light of God's glory filled that room
As angels of God ministered His love to The Two

Both dreamt they were preaching to hundreds of people
"It's time to repent and awaken out of sleep ALL!"
Dozens and dozens of them responded to God's Word
And turned away from the world and toward the Lord.

When The Two woke up and shared what happened
They turned, they got up, they washed and they went:
To the corner to the powerful pentecostal revival church service
Because The Two were called by Jesus for such a time as this
