Not Good Enough

Did you ever feel like you weren't good enough
        no matter what you tried?
Day after day I try and I try and I try
Day after day I strive and I strive and I strive

And then I'll try again
And then I'll cry again

Sometimes I feel like I just want to give up
But then I look up and Jesus says to me again
"Son, of course you're not good enough
  But through Me you'll always win"

And then I'll try again
And then I'll cry again

    In the end I know I'm not good enough
    Just gotta keep going, just gotta hang tough
     In Jesus, I really don't have it so rough
     It's His lesson to me of His great caring love

So then I'll try again
So then I'll cry again--

        This time, because I'm happy.
