75 Word Mini Challenge Megan’s March

Ultra-Short Story #1
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Megan stared at the stain, horrified.

"Why are you showing me this, Lord?" she desperately inquired.

“This is your heart, Megan.”

Instantly, Megan realized the ink-black stain she saw was sin.
She was overwhelmed by Guilt.

Then Shame.

She explained, sobbing, “Lord, I’ve been tryin’ to ‘make it right’
with You--and everyone else. What am I missing?
Please, help me—please…”

“Forgive your father…”

Megan woke up.

In tears, she reached for her cellphone.

Ultra-Short Story #2
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Megan stared at the stain, horrified.

“I never thought of it that way,” she wondered aloud, wide-eyed
at the Easter Passion movie.

“Thought of what—that way?” John asked, mocking. He offered
Megan popcorn.

She refused. “I don’t feel like eating right now.”

John bragged, “More for me!” Crunching some kernels, he rudely
added, “What’d ya mean?”

I hate brothers, Megan thought.

She answered, “I never knew there was that much blood on
the Cross.”
