Yawning, Marcia got up out of bed and pulled back the
heavy curtain, "It's snowing!"
Large, fluffy snowflakes fell in the gentle breeze in the back yard.
Grunting, Bob pushed the power button on the television remote. As the TV blared
on, 'Winter Storm Warning' scrolled across the screen in bold, red

One window near the back of the bus was open.
As the bus passed, a pair of sparkly dress shoes flew through the window and
landed near his feet in the fresh-fallen snow.
"Hey!" Bob yelled, as a red-headed girl stuck her head out and gleefully waved.
Bob picked up the shoes, and immediately noticed a gold post-it-note attached to
one shoe with a shiny paperclip.
In red-and-green writing the note read,
"Merry Christmas,
Grandma. Love,
Heather"
"Marcia!!!" Bob yelled toward the house, grumbling. "…little monsters…"
