Living in the moment, living in the now

Living in the moment, living in the now
Not worried or thinking about tomorrow
Tomorrow will get here when it gets here
Right now, Dear Lord, I praise You in faith, not fear

Worried for days and weeks I really couldn't sleep
Living on the edge of anticipation and feeling defeat
The diagnosis was grim and the scheduled surgery looked scary
I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, but barely

Living in the moment, living in the now
Not worried or thinking about tomorrow
Tomorrow will get here when it gets here
Right now, Dear Lord, I praise You in faith, not fear

That night before the surgery I got up and went to church
I was still wondering and worried and nervous at first
But then....something broke inside me and I thought
What am I doing?  I need to live by faith, not doubt...

I need to live in the now!

Living in the moment, living in the now
Not worried or thinking about tomorrow
Tomorrow will get here when it gets here
Right now, Dear Lord, I praise You in faith, not fear

Living in the moment, living in the now
Not worried or thinking about tomorrow

....Tomorrow?  What about tomorrow?

I forgot all about it.

Praise God!

Psalm 23
[1] The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
[2] He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
[3] He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
[4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
[5] Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
[6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Hebrews 11
[1] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
