It's okay to cry, it's okay to weep
 

Shattered by a senseless traumatic tragedy--
Authorities struggle to offer up a remedy--
It's difficult to understand why this happened:
"Are we safe?"  "Is this going to happen again?"

It's okay to cry, it's okay to weep,
It's okay to let the tears stream:
Don't hold back, just let it all out--
Jesus knows what you're feeling right now

A vigil for the family is quickly organized;
The victim is emotionally memorialized--
Heartfelt prayers are offered for the family
And there it's okay to cry, it's okay to weep

It's okay to cry, it's okay to weep,
It's okay to let the tears stream:

Jesus knows what you're feeling right now

God's comforting presence flows over heavy hearts that day:
