Internal Bleeding

My hopeful heart hurts with open wounds within
Your verbal attacks show what you really meant
Internal bleeding is a great analogy of how I feel
Every time you're so mean my heart aches and reels
As time passes I attempt prayer and fasting
My heart begins to heal from your chastening
But then: your words cut open the wounds again
The internal bleeding cycle begins to spin, to spin
The hurts are so deep I just want to run away
and hide
Overwhelming emotions--I can't think--I just cry, and cry
How many tears will I cry until this madness stops?
I need to be free to live outside of this box--
Over and over, again and again, why do people
never seem to change?
But: people can change--with God's help--if
they want to have their life saved
In Jesus' Name!

Ephesians 4
[29] Let no corrupt
communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of
edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
[30] And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto
the day of redemption.
[31] Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil
speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
[32] And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
