I Stand Corrected

Impulsive decisions are a lazy man's way to cope with life:
It's my way of dealing with all of the stress and the strife--
The decisions never really get to the root of the problem:
They just push the baggage ahead until it makes a mountain

Following the spur-of-the-moment plan is really no plan at all:
Getting-around-to-it is just another excuse, another way to stall--
I'm wandering around in a world of playing everything by ear,
Meandering from place-to-place, living day-to-day by fear

Then one day while walking through the mall I met an old friend:
She literally bumped into me and I apologized again, and again--
We went to the famous coffee shop and laughed and shared old times;
And finally she pleaded, "You need to turn your life back to Christ."

After awhile, I prayed...

"Father, I've made a mess out of my life, in fact I've wrecked it:
Lord, I'm ready to do whatever I need to do: I stand corrected."
