Heaven's Cry

There's a sound that's missing in every
Christmas carol
It's not Santa's laugh or the ambulance siren
It's not sleigh bells or the Salvation Army call
It's the sound of a newborn babe
It's the sound of Christ the Lord
Heaven's cry, heaven's cry
Heaven's cry, heaven's cry
Do you hear it touch the sky?
Angels know His voice and sing
Glory to God in the highest
Jesus is King!
There's a sound that's missing in Christmas
choirs
It's not laughter or chestnuts roasting on an open fire
It's not ghosts of Christmas past, present or future
It's the sound of a newborn babe
It's the sound of Christ the Lord
Heaven's cry, heaven's cry
Heaven's cry, heaven's cry
Do you hear it touch the sky?
Angels know His voice and sing
Glory to God in the highest
Jesus is King!
This Christmas don't hide that child in church
when he cries
That sound reminds us we're all helpless without Christ
