HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!     2006

Driving for hundreds of miles enjoying God's creation
It's great to get out on the road again on vacation
The kids are in the back seat restless and bored
I just smile because soon they will be asleep...and snore

Finally we agree to stop and visit a national monument
When I see the looks on their faces--it was worth the trip
It's one thing to read about a place and study it from home
But there's nothing like walking there in person...so

Here we are standing on the edge remembering our great country
Truly God has blessed us as we see an eagle land in the tree 
How majestic it is to get away from the rat race of life
To stand here awestruck for a moment with my kids, and my wife

            Thanks dad for being such a great example of dad, every day
            Smile today as you remember your children, and Happy Birthday!
