Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
That we've been born again!

There was a man named Nicodemus
Who came to Jesus by night
He asked Jesus a question
And Jesus gave him the Light

        Go, tell it on the mountain
        Over the hills and everywhere
        Go, tell it on the mountain
        That we've been born again!

Jesus answered Nicodemus
Except a man be born again
He cannot see the kingdom of God
But Nicodemus didn't understand

        Go, tell it on the mountain
        Over the hills and everywhere
        Go, tell it on the mountain
        That we've been born again!

Jesus answered Nicodemus again
Except a man be born of water and of Spirit
He cannot enter into the kingdom of God
But Nicodemus still didn't get it

        Go, tell it on the mountain
        Over the hills and everywhere
        Go, tell it on the mountain
        That we've been born again!

After Jesus ascended into heaven
Peter preached and said unto them, Repent
and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ 
([why?] for the remission of sins,) 
and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

         Go, tell it on the mountain
         Over the hills and everywhere
         Go, tell it on the mountain
         That we've been born again
           That we've been born again
                of the water and the spirit!
             That we've been born again
                cannot see the kingdom of God without it
           That we've been born again
                cannot enter into the kingdom of God without it
           That we've been born again
                come on now and be born again
           That we've been born again
                you've got it now!
            That we've been born again
                That we've been born again.....!
