Fervent Heat
Suddenly awake I found my house
violently shaking
I realized very quickly that the earth was quaking...
But why was it so hot? I thought...then a flash of fire--
I stumbled and crawled to the window to look out there
Flaming hailstones were falling
fast from the sky
Then I looked down and my yard was split open wide
Molten lava from hell bubbled with fervent heat and flowed
The awful smell of sulphur and the yellow-orange glow
What-is-going-on? was all
I could think of or pray...
I went to get my family but it was too little, too late
Screams snuffed out by wind-whipped walls of fire
I finally stumbled, coughing and crawled out the front door
Everywhere in my neighborhood
rose orange smoke and screams
It's the end of the world ...as they tried to tell me....it seems...
I couldn't go anywhere because of the hail and the lava
So I fell down to my knees and worshipped and begged God--
"O Lord...have mercy!
Have mercy on me!
Oh God --the heat-- have
mercy...." I just sobbed
The lava overflowed me and I melted....and I was gone.
What a dream!
What a wake up call.

2 Peter Chapter 3
[9] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count
slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance.
[10] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the
which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall
melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein
shall be burned up.
[11] Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of
persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
[12] Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein
the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with
fervent heat?
[13] Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and
a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
[14] Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent
that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Isaiah Chapter 30
[27] Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his
anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and
his tongue as a devouring fire:
[28] And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst
of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a
bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err.
[29] Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept;
and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain
of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.
[30] And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall
shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with
the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.
Revelation Chapter
16
[15] Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth
his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
[16] And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew
tongue Armageddon.
[17] And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there
came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is
done.
[18] And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a
great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an
earthquake, and so great.
[19] And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of
the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto
her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
[20] And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
[21] And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone
about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of
the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
