News of acquisitions and mergers continually fill the air
It's just part of doing business we're told but does anyone care?
For so many years where I work things stayed the same
Manager regimes came and went and another one came

     Change        It's here.
     Change.       Don't fear.
     Change.       It's numbing.
     Change.       More's coming.
     Change.       It's all part of the game
     Change.       Things will never be the same

Rumors raced and "The Warning" was issued several months ago
"They" were studying our Division:  should it stay or should it go?
Finally this week an announcement was officially made
"They" are going to sell us but will our jobs be saved?

     Change        It's here.
     Change.       Don't fear.
     Change.       It's numbing.
     Change.       More's coming.
     Change.       It's all part of the game
     Change.       Things will never be the same

Stunningly "they" want to close this all in only one month
But how?  What-are-the-details-and-how-can-this-be-done?
There's so many questions but not too many details or answers
We're told no plants or jobs are moving "they" currently can swear

When a business grows up it's time to leave it's "mother"
It's time to move on or be bought right-out by another
How the dreams and visions of an adolescent business grow!
It's here.  It's time for that change:  It's time to go!

In the end we remember and know that God is in control
It really doesn't matter whether we are bought or sold
It's all going to work together for our own good
I reckon we'll accept the change: we couldn't stop it if we could!
