As I stand here and remember you Pa, I just cry
So many things happen in life we'll never know why
I thank God for you --Pa-- my dad, my friend
It was a long and painful road that came to a peaceful end
Jesus healed you and allowed you to come home
And now you are home with Him in heaven, so long

        Pa, I wish I had more time to spend time with you
        But when I feel like this I know I'm just bein' blue
        Pa, I know now there's a reason why God sent me here
        I'll carry your torch of faith to the four corners:
                            that much is clear -- that much is clear!
