Blurred Vision

It's the beginning of a new quarter, a new year
It's the annual company meeting, and we're all here
Powerful powerpoint presentations portray the picture
The Vision is given from the past to visualize the future

Clearly we had a purpose to daily reach for excellence
We were excited about not a matter of if, but a matter of when
Working harder and smarter than we thought we could
We knew we would make our goals:  we just knew we would

Months went by and we simply forgot our main Mission
Circumstances and costly mistakes blurred the Vision
Mistakes mean doing things twice taking twice the time
And lost time equals lost money: it's a sign of decline

We cannot see where we're going when our Vision is blurred
Drifting, directionless companies cause casualties:  they can't keep their word
"The bottom line" is it's a sad situation for all parties involved:
One more time, the time clock moved, and the door revolved

In the end when we look back at this time, this day and this place:
"...we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose."
