Be Still

Gotta-go-here and gotta-go-there I'm-runnin'-late
My life is a big rush "always behind" can-you-relate?
Oh-no-look-at-the-time I almost-forgot-my-keys
Gotta-run Oh-oh-better-slow-down-there's-the-police

Just stop and be still...
Be still and know that I am God
Be still...
Be still in the quietness of My love
Be still...
Be still and know that I am here
Be still...
Be still and let me calm your fear
Be still...

Runnin'-here-and-runnin'-there no-time-to-care
it seems like the pressure is too much to bear
cell-phone-home-phone-email-beepers and more
If all of them rang at once I'd never get out the door

Just stop and be still...
Be still and know that I am God
Be still...
Be still in the quietness of My love
Be still...
Be still and know that I am here
Be still...
Be still and let me calm your fear
Be still...

Finally resting in the calm "holy hush" of God's presence
Godliness with contentment is great gain of simple silence

Just stop and be still...
Be still and know that I am God
Be still...
Be still in the quietness of My love
Be still...
Be still and know that I am here
Be still...
Be still and let me calm your fear
Be still...
    Be still...
        Be still....
