South Dakota Sunset

It's about 3 o'clock and the hazy sun is high in the sky
Clouds start building into storms with hail and lightning fire
After awhile they pass by and it's sunny and warm again
A whisper of clouds left behind make a beautiful sunset

        It's a South Dakota sunset
        It's one I'll never forget
Memories of the old west made new
Memories of just being there with you

Yellow sky deepens to orange colors then red
It's time to build up the campfire before we go to bed
Relaxing, talking and laughing together makes the time fly by
Singing together and looking at God's stars in the South Dakota sky

        It's a South Dakota sunset
        It's one I'll never forget
Memories of the old west made new
Memories of just being there with you

I'll never forget the night we talked all night
The South Dakota sunrise was such an awesome sight!

        It's a South Dakota sunset
        It's one I'll never forget
Memories of the old west made new
Memories of just being there with you

Let's go back.
