Sonrise

As the sun rises in Jerusalem
It shines on soldiers guarding Jesus' tomb
It's Saturday and they dare anyone to come near
Pilate said there was nothing to fear
A few weeping people went by
that day
Some came to see where Jesus' body lay
The soldiers threatened them and pushed them shouting, "Move on!"
Still the weepers sang their mourning song
Bored and tired that night the
soldiers fell asleep
They didn't know they would never see another day, another week
The weeping people endured for the night
How could they sleep when life wasn't right?
But then...the next morning:
The Son rises in Jerusalem!
And He promises we can join Him when
we're born again!
