I Just Wait on the Lord

Waitressin' third shift night after night
Overtime again there's no end in sight
Drunken rude customers who never leave
There's got to be more to life than this I believe

Servin' slobs who've made their lives a mess
What's-the-point? it seems that everyone could care less
Waitin' on tables in the middle of the night
There's got to "be more to it" in this life

Then one night this nice church group came in
They treated me right and told me I too, could win
The answer was and is "Yes there's something more"
Jesus is the One Who I've been lookin' for

I was changed only when I was born again
After I was baptized I have no more sin
The Holy Ghost in me shows me the way
Jesus is One I serve now every day

I'm singin

Thank You Jesus for showin' me something more
