ABUNDANT LIFE!

Sandi's Testimony

I met my husband when I was 18 and he was 26. We married 11 months after we met. I got pregnant right away, and Jennifer was born on our 9 month wedding anniversary. She is now 33 and one of the biggest blessings of my life (besides my husband, of course). She was an only child for 9 years, until my OBGYN yelled at us for being so selfish.  So we went home and asked Jen if she wanted to be a big sister, to which the answer was YES, so we then had Nicholas (another of God's wonderful blessings).  Jen came to the Lord about 13 years ago.  Afterwards she tried everything to convince us about the plan of salvation, but we were not about to listen.  I thought she had joined a cult. Then Nick started getting into some serious trouble/ In an effort to turn his life around, he asked to go to school at Abundant Life, which is where Jen's kids were going. He moved in with Jen and her husband where he found the Lord. Then I was SERIOUSLY worried.  I got myself a Bible and started reading, in an effort to arm myself with ammunition to get my children back. Instead, God got hold of us. First me, then my husband.  It took another three years tho. I was finally baptized in the precious name of Jesus in November of 1997. My husband was more unsure, so we kept attending our old church on Saturday nights, and our new church on Sunday mornings.  I was on the board of the old church and was becoming more and more uncomfortable being there. They did not follow the truth of God's word and were actually talking doctrine that I could not abide. Finally, in Sept. of '98, my husband made the decision that Abundant Life was the church for him, and I resigned my position on the board. In November of '98, my husband got baptized. By that time our son had been drawn back into the world and walked away from God. He still is not living for Him, but he will!  Praise God above, he will. He has no idea what God has prepared for him, but just wait!  I am.  And claiming him for the Kingdom every day.
I thank God always for how he has kept his hand on me, and on my family. All glory unto Him! The author of my faith
