Unhappy Hollerdays

Unpleasant parents yell at their kids in the department store at the mall...
Grumpy grandparents complain to the waitress that their food is too cold...
Sorrowful firemen shout that the building is collapsing on a friend...
Depressed infantry scream that another enemy missile is incoming

Hurting homeless folks holler at each other for the warm spot on the street...
Miserable single moms complain to each other trying to make ends meet...
Cheerless nurses blast co-workers for not doing what they want them to do...
Miserable managers totally tell-off their teams for not having a clue

Saddened security guards blame others for the break-in last weekend...
Heavy-hearted factory workers go on strike to keep up with inflation...
Troubled teenagers call out for help in text messages and e-mail...
Dejected drivers shriek at each other to stop moving like a snail

The unhappy hollerdays have arrived in the crazy short days of December--
What we need is the love of God, and to remember what it's all about:

Jesus our Savior
