Stubborn Again

Yes I'm hurt but she's being stubborn again
I think she just forgot how she was back then
She refused to go anywhere unless it was her idea
Only when I "gave in" was it something we'd agree on!

I pray she remembers how she was when she was first born again
She was so happy and excited when she was first free from sin
I just stop everything and pray, Remember your first love, my love
Remember how happy you were when God saved you with His blood

Repenting, turning away from a life filled with wicked sin
Then later you were baptized in water in Jesus' Name
God gave you the Holy Ghost and you spoke in other tongues
Laughter filled your soul and your entire life:  that's how it was!

     So when you find yourself never satisfied and being simply stubborn again
     I pray you remember your first love with Jesus when you were born again
