Dear friend, I am trying to tell you what happened:
I repented and Jesus washed away my sins in baptism!
Why are you not listening? this is really important--
You're looking away and trying to change the subject!

That's not what we're talking about--
Stop trying to change the subject--
You're avoiding the truth about it:
You're wandering again off topic

The rest of the story is still playing itself out:
When I think about what Jesus did, I want to shout!
I feel so clean on the inside like a newborn babe--
I don't understand why you won't listen to me today
