Matthew's Quilt

For months, Granny collected scrap cloth remnants from family and friends--
She kept her project a secret as she sewed the quilt late into the evenings...
With great love, she carefully and meticulously sewed the quilt for Matthew--
She sang praises to God, thanking Him for healing her, and her precious grandson too...

Jesus, You are my Morning Star
I praise and worship You, my Lord
There's no one else like You
I really love You Lord, I do
I really love You Lord, I do

Matthew was born almost dead but the church asked the Lord to heal him completely,
And almost immediately Matthew came to life and cried to his mommy so sweetly!
Tears of relief and joy filled the Intensive Care Unit for hours that day:
Nurses and doctors were so touched by the presence of God they couldn't stay...

Jesus, You are my Morning Star
I praise and worship You, my Lord
There's no one else like You
I really love You Lord, I do
I really love You Lord, I do

Finally the quilt was finished, and Granny held it up to the light and smiled:
She whispered, "Thank You Jesus, I really love You Lord, I do--You are my Morning Star..."
The next day she gave the quilt to Matthew's parents and they were speechless:
They just wept, holding the quilt...such thoughtfulness...thank You Jesus...

Then Granny sang--
Jesus, You are my Morning Star
I praise and worship You, my Lord
There's no one else like You
I really love You Lord, I do
I really love You Lord, I do

My Bible has this meaning for Matthew: "Gift of Jehovah"

+ + +

copied from http://www.behindthename.com/

MATTHEW m English, Biblical
"gift of YAHWEH" from the Hebrew name Mattityahu. Saint Matthew, also called Levi, was one of the twelve apostles (a tax collector)...

also:

LEVI m Biblical, Jewish, English
"attached" from Hebrew lewi. In the Old Testament Levi was the third son of Jacob and Leah, and the ancestor of one of the twelve tribes of the Israelites (the tribe that eventually became the priests of the Israelites). In the New Testament this is another name for the apostle Matthew.
