Drafty Escape
 

Gathered by the water today,   
We’re simply living by faith,
Relying on our Creator, God--
He comforts us with His love

Days pass and protests come--
We fight to survive for the Son
Wrongful war’s not worth a life:
It causes only division and strife

Forced to battle is not love at all--
Forced to war causes us to fall--
We’ll escape on wings of freedom:
We’ll fight up there for the Son--

It’s time to fly,
It’s time to go--
We’ll fly up toward the goal--
United for Canada as one soul,
United for Canada as one soul!

Freedom’s come!
It’s time to embark!
It’s the appointed day--
It’s the appointed day--
God will point the way--
God will point the way!

Breaking the breeze,
Only one leads--
“V” is for Victory--
“V” is for Victory!

Flying so high,
Freedom shines--
We touch the sky--

We touch the sky!

The leader tires and goes to the back,
Another one moves up takes up the slack--

It’s time to fly,
It’s time to go--
We’ll fly up toward the goal--
United for Canada as one soul,

We’re almost there, we’re almost home--
Right over the border, we’ll touch down--

Finally here we can see,
Finally we’re home free--
Strong and free--

Living in Canada now away from U.S.,
We flock together and live for Jesus
