Ultra-Short Story #1
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Megan stared at the stain, horrified—again.
The bloodstained towel haunted her. “I didn’t mean what I said.”
Immediately, Megan’s false confession was revealed by the
AutoLieDetect WitnesStand. It glowed an eerie
red.
Before the Judge ruled Megan in contempt of court, Donovan—
the prime suspect—jumped up and nervously interrupted.
“D-Don’t believe her. I did it. I love Megan, and I-I wanted Sam
outta the way. She’s a good woman—"
“Remove him.”
Ultra-Short Story #2
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Megan stared at the stain, horrified. “What happened?
What’d they do to you?”
“They hit me in the face—made my nose bleed a little--”
“I feel so horrible they have you locked up in here.
It’s all my fault.”
“Don’t say that. Don’t think it. We both know I’m innocent.
The UNti-Christ Public Defender forced me to confess.”
"Sam was a good Christian—a great Pastor."
“They killed him.”
“I know.”
“Let’s pray…”

Guidelines:
1. Write two ultra-short stories (no more than 75 words each)
2. They should be completely different in mood, tone, genre
3. Each should BEGIN with this sentence:
