Good Friday, 1987 A.D.

Black clouds billow, lightning strikes the Church
Tribes tremble on Good Friday, just like the first
The wind screams by the unbelievers in the streets
The death of Jesus the Christ was foreseen for weeks

[Pilate washes his hands of the whole Jewish ordeal
United unbelievers cry "Crucify Him!" with zeal
Then a Roman hammer nails Christ’s flesh to the cross
Soon the unbelievers scatter—they know they are lost]

The sins of the world gather by His Church today
Christ is remembered because He took sins away
Good Friday is "good" when we believe in Christ
We must remember His victory, His living sacrifice

In the end there is no "end" for believers today
Walk with the Lord, and He will show you the way
